Sago Love…

Happened to have the camera out the other day when the shuttle was lifting off and noticed the sago cactus was flowering again. The flower looks like a giant column of corn-pops cereal and gets to be two or more feet tall and several inches in diameter. It’s very strange and apparently it’s one of the things those pesky lovebugs seem to be drawn to. Thankfully they’re finally starting to die out for the season but they’ll be back in the fall to ruin our cars and carpet our sidewalks. Yay…

Oh wow. How do they ruin your car and carpet your sidewalks?

Also, what kind of camera do you use?

I actually wrote a post about them a long time back:

My camera’s a 5 year old Kodak Z650, 6 megapixel, 10x zoom. Loves it, loves it a lot. It was a prize in a contest.
