What the hell is this crap? Beer, lite beer at that, ‘brewed with a hint of salt and lime’? It’s bad enough that there’s idiots out there cramming slices of lime into that Mexican piss water, Corona. Now we’ve got an American beer companies doing it for us?

Here’s a free hint people; If you have to add flavor to the beer you’re drinking, you’re drinking horse piss. Go buy yourself a Guinness or a Bass Ale or a Harp Lager or hell even a Sam Adams but for the gods’ sake stay away from piss with lime and salt…

Nasty bad horrible thunderstorm popped up out of nowhere the other day. I was sitting here at the PC getting ready to shut it down if the storm came any closer when my speakers gave this hissing surf sound and then quit. They hiss when the volume’s turned all the way up but there’s no damn sound whatsoever. I tore apart the subwoofer box to check the fuse and it seems ok but I’ve got to get it tested. The gods know even if it is the fuse if I can get this back together without breaking something. It was a real pain in the ass to get apart. I uninstalled the sound card and let it reinstall itself, there’s no conflicts and Windows says it’s working right. I dug my old boombox out of the garage, it’s what I used for years on a previous PC but after testing it with my Playstation 2 (beat crawling under the desk) I got no audio from that so it’s dead. I’ve got no way to test the sound card for positive output now. I can’t afford a new, decent, set of speakers and/or a new card and being something of an audiophile I really don’t want to buy crap to replace them. I really don’t want to put ANY money into this old machine but then, I can’t afford a new PC either. Damnit!

I can’t watch a baseball game without incessant prattle about Barry ‘Roidboi’ Bonds being the subject of choice. Heaven help you if the Giants are playing at the same time your team is as they’ll interupt the game you want to watch so you can watch Baroid strike out. Who cares? I don’t believe for a minute that he wasn’t abusing performance enhancing drugs. YMMV.

I’ve got a secret to share with you. A guilty little pleasure of mine. Keep this under your hats (if you’ve got hats). Every weekday I find myself watching two, not just one but two, hours of Beverly Hills, 90210. Oh, I’m so embarrassed. Donna just kissed David for the first time and that’s all the action he’s going to get for several seasons, poor guy. Steve in a fit of whiny just took off to find his real mom, the little crybaby freak. And I’ve got a major crush on Andrea Zuckerman/Gabrielle Carteris who’s older than me and was at age 29 playing a high school student…

I was repulsed when Mike Myers starred in The Cat in the Hat. The trailer I saw for it leading into some movie I’d rented made me want to vomit. Lately I’ve been watching the previews on TV for the upcoming Underdog movie I feel another little stab in my heart. Something, if not precious at least memorable has been taken, ripped apart and spewed forth upon the silver screen in the holy name of making money. Then, horror of horrors, I was wandering around IMDB and found out they’re remaking Speed Racer as a live action movie with Emile Hirsch as Speed and Christina Ricci as Trixie. John Goodman plays Pops Racer. Yet another piece of my childhood destroyed. Is there no originality left in Hollywood? Can’t anyone write anything new? I despair….

With what seems exponential increases both my arms are not really working right. Can barely raise them above shoulder level. My left arm now has a numb swatch running from the middle of my tattoo down the center of my forearm and ending in three numb fingers (middle, index and thumb). That hand also often feels as if someone with cowboy boots is grinding their heel into the back of it. This just sucks. Anyone got any pain killers? I sure could use a handful…

Since 12:38 PM today my copy of the latest Harry Potter book has been marked “IN TRANSIT TO FINAL DESTINATION”. To me, that means it’s going to be delivered. As it’s 10:10 PM now I have grave doubts that it will be. UPS’ tracking information over the last few orders I’ve had shipped with them have been terrible. Feh!

Two girls ages 10 and 12 years old have been arrested and charged with kidnapping for extortion and first-degree burglary. They broke into a neighbors house and abducted an infant leaving a ransom note demanding $200,000 and signed it ”the kidnappers”.

What the hell is going on with this planet? pre-teen kidnappers?! I don’t even want to know what’s next…
